What is Soft Washing?

Soft washing is a safe and very effective low pressure cleaning and sanitizing method, for both domestic and commercial properties.

The solutions we use are incredibly effective on a wide range of surfaces and substrates, such as - natural stone and brickwork, block paving, patios and concrete, K-Rend, rendered walls, pebbledash, roughcast, tyrolean/stucco, slate roofs and tiles where moss can be suitably scraped off prior to application, fences , decking and timber cladding, summer houses and oak buildings, industrial cladding, asphalt roofing, plastic cladding, fascias and soffits, artificial turf (MUGA), rubber crumb play areas.

Each surface contaminant requires a tailored soft washing approach for best results. Our solutions are mixed on site using highly accurate chemical delivery units for optimal results of the task at hand.

Soft washing targets the organic growth behind discoloration and staining caused by interaction of biofilm - Algae/Lichen/Moss - with surface substrate along with weather, pollution and the environment can cause significant damage to the surface/render on your property if left untreated.

Soft washing chemicals kill the spores and treat unwanted biological growth of fungus, moss, red and green algae, bacteria, lichen, pollen, mould and other forms of growth on the target surface. The solutions we use are Eco-friendly, HSE approved biocides and fully label compliant and do not bio accumulate, meaning they break down rapidly on contact with soil to give it a very low environmental footprint. The work area is rinsed, unless a residual biocide is applied, and once dry is perfectly safe for children and pets etc.

Application of soft washing solutions is low pressure and will not cause damage to substrates: using a high pressure washer on render or such surfaces can cause severe damage and renders the surface more porous to the additional colonisation of algae etc and often striping of the surface.
